Initial ideas

Locations

I am currently thinking about using my college studio, which has a green screen, which would be useful in more video. Also I might be using a stage at my local music venue called "The Studio" because it will hopefully give of more of a live effect.

Genre

At the moment I am thinking about doing an indie rock genre, artist such as "Mumford & sons", "Arcade Fire" and "Vampire Weekend" to influence myself.

Lighting

Since the genre I am possibly using is normally slower than other poplar music, I am thinking about having slightly dimmed lights so that it was fit the mood of the song, and I might have very bright lights for others to illustrate some parts of the song.

Shot types

In my video I am thinking of having a lot of long shots because it will capture the whole of the performer (meat shot) and it will establish the shots. In a stereotypical indie rock music video, a lot of long shots are also used to capture the full band or artist.

Costumes and props

I am thinking about using acoustic guitars as props, because this is commonly used in indie rock music videos

Main performance

The main performance will most likely be done by myself. I will try to act like the actual performer by being random and spontaneous in my performance.
